Portrait of David Dwertmann

David Dwertmann

I study otherness at work. My research examines how people come to see others as “other,” including people with disabilities, immigrants, and people who differ in status, and how social norms, organizational climate, and leadership shape these dynamics.

  • Associate Professor of Management, Rutgers University School of Business–Camden

I hold a PhD in management from the University of St. Gallen and an MSc in psychology from the University of Mannheim, and I serve on the editorial boards of the Journal of Management and the Journal of Organizational Behavior, among others.
